Researchers are increasingly turning to large online crowdsourcing panels like Amazon’s Mechanical Turk for research purposes. This session will provide an overview of the application of Amazon’s Mechanical Turk for participant recruitment and other potential research uses. Specific topics will include how to set up and administer participant recruitment through Mechanical Turk, how to screen and track anonymous panel members from study to study, and how to implement strategies that will improve the quality of data that you collect through this service.
